Connecting the Learning Sciences with Technology Integration
|
Description
The learning sciences inform us on how and why children learn, but what can it tell us about how to integrate technology? In this session, we will answer this question through an exploration of research in connection with technology integration tools and practices. We will then analyze how these tools and practices can be measured using the Triple E Framework.

Simulations can be a great way to engage students and explore major concepts in depth. However, they can be a challenge to organize and manage. In this session, participants will learn how cloud-based services like Google Sites, Forms, and Docs can be used to manage both online and in-person simulations. Participants from all disciplines are welcome; the examples used will be from a 19th century Europe simulation used in a high school social studies course.
